vibe.salon opened in May 2020 by Amanda Mach & Elizabeth Oros. The dream and vision behind vibe.salon was to have a space with a high-end feel that anyone would be able to enjoy. Our goal is for both guests AND employees to feel welcomed, heard, relaxed and beautiful, which is where it began for vibe.salon.

One of the things we love about our salon is that we are an eco-friendly Green Circle salon. We divert up to 95% of waste, either locally or sent to the Green Circle Salon Center. We are able to separate out our salon-specific waste such as foils, hair clippings, hair color, wax strips and send these particular items to recycling facilities that repurpose them. This helps keep millions of pounds of waste out of landfills each year. Our guests can feel good about keeping our community clean when they visit us.
To make this type of recycling possible, our services include an Environmental Stewardship Fee of $2 per visit. This money will go directly towards ensuring the items you utilize while in service at vibe.salon are sent to recycling facilities instead of landfills. We thank you for joining us in making positive changes to truly impact our environment and the world.
HAIR CLIPPINGS
Hair clippings are used for hair booms, oil spill clean up and in the development of sustainable bio composite plastic.
EXCESS HAIR COLOR
Excess hair color is converted to clean water + clean energy which is put back into the local power grid.
FOIL + COLOR TUBES
Foils, color tubes and other aluminum are cleaned and repurposed for new products like car parts and bicycles.
SINGLE USE ITEMS
Single use items are used in a waste-to-energy process to create clean renewable energy. Plus even more in-salon recycling!
Education is another top priority for us. We are committed to providing our guests with the best experience by staying current with all things beauty. vibe.salon also operates as a training salon with an extensive program to help stylist build their careers sustainably.
